The Hot Water Beach Ratepayers Association provides a defibrillator at the main beach carpark.
To access the defibrillator, call 111 and they will provide instructions to unlock the box and use the defibrillator.
The ratepayers association has advocated to the TCDC requesting their attention to the following concerns of the Hot Water Beach community:
Speed limits are too high into hot water beach.
This was acknowledge in a 2022 draft speed management plan produced by TCDC (Hot Water Beach Rd ranked #3 in the area as most risky road).
Poor pedestrian access with no separation between cycle lanes, footpaths and road corridors in some parts.
Insufficient carparking and traffic controls at high-tide with a high level of pedestrian and vehicle movement.
Slump outs require a long-term solution.
TCDC have advised that they have applied for phase 1 funding of which detailed geotech investigation and design will be completed. Once phase 1 is complete, they can apply for phase 2 funding for physical works.
